Based in Delhi, Chinky Shukla is an independent photojournalist.
After completing her professional training in photography, she chose to venture away from conventional photographic style and developed a taste for telling stories through her photographs. She has always had a strong fascination with visual story-telling and its power in shaping our collective consciousness. She strives to capture the true emotion, personality and intensity in each of her subjects.
Her intention in her own work is to use the power of photographs to communicate about complex issues and help generate positive societal change. The majority of her photo projects are extended essays, using photography’s inherent strength to engage and inform the viewer, in ways that words alone seldom can.
Currently working as a freelance photojournalist, she is open to commissioned work and collaborations.
