Born in 1983, Jérémie Lenoir is graduated of the Polytechnique School of the University of Tours and of the Superior Art and Design School of Orléans. Without proper subject, without seeking an objective reproduction of a “true” landscape, Jérémie Lenoir’s photographs offer a sensitive travel through what Marc Augé called “non places”. Deeply inspired by Dusseldorf Kunstakademie artists and expressionnist painters such as Rothko, Noland, Soulages or Malevitch, his work tries both a representation of reality and its transfiguration in paintings, attempting to give a new realism to our contemporary territories.
