Terms and conditions

  • Children must have either a point-and-shoot or digital SLR camera to join the workshop
  • Workshop requires minimum of 12 participants, in the event there are not sufficient registrations, the workshop will be cancelled and full refund will be issued.
  • Children must carry their own meals and snacks
  • Parents will be responsible for dropping and picking up their children ArtScape.

Workshop Schedule

Day – 1

  • 9:30am -10: 00am: Introduction of mentors to the kids.
  • 10am- 12am: Divide them into groups.
  • Basic of how to use the camera.
  • Composition of frames.
  • 12pm-1pm: Lunch break.
  • 1pm-3pm: Assignment 1 – Playing with composition
  • Kids starts shooting on basic topic inside the cholamandal artists village.
  • 3pm-3:30pm:Small review of pictures with kids.

Day-2

  • 9:30am- 11am:Recap on composition
  • Assignment 2 – Creativity through the Lens
  • Example topics:
  • (Visual topic: 1.Upside down world.
  •                        2. Shooting from the perceptive of ant’s world.
  • Abstract topic: 1.Nature.
  •                           2. Happiness)
  • 11am-12:00pm:Shooting on the topic assigned inside the cholamandal artists village.
  • 12pm-1pm:Lunch break
  • 1pm-1:30pm:Image submission.
  • 2pm-3:30pm:Reviewing on the images.

Day-3

  • 9:30am-3:30pm:Outdoor trip with the kids.(venue can be Dakshinachitra ).

Day-4

  • 9:30am-12pm:Last opportunity for kids to shoot – they can go with the parents to shoot on the topic in a different venue of their choosing.
  • 1pm-2pm:Submitting pictures.
  • 2pm-3:30pm:Final review of images with the kids.
  • 3:30pm-4:30pm:Tea break and kids play around.
  • 4:30pm: Projection of the work done by kids.
