FORGET GOLD – INVEST IN WATER was developed by Allan Parker as a Srishti Interim Project at the end of 2018, together with artist and facilitator Chinar Shah. Allan Forrester Parker studied at The University of Reading (Fine Art ) and at Central Saint Martins in London. Previously a senior fractional lecturer (practice) on the MA and BA in Photography at the University of Westminster in London, he is also a visiting Lecturer at Srishti School of Art, Design & Technology (Bangalore, India). Allan established a publishing imprint
PURE LAND PRESS in 2010 to produce artists books, multiples and exhibitions. Chinar Shah is a visual artist based in Bangalore. She too is a faculty member at Srishti. She has co-edited an academic publication, Photography in India: From Archives to Contemporary Practice,2018, Bloomsbury, UK. She runs an apartment gallery called Home Sweet Home.

PORTRAIT OF EROSION Jun Homma, educated in Tokyo, with a background in BA Design and sculpture at Tama Art University is an artist from Japan. His artistic practice explores various invisible elements surrounding our contemporary life and reveals the relationship between the invisibility and time, society and environment. He was invited to Srishti institute of Art, Design, and Technology as a guest artist to work with a group of diverse students to produce a body of work for the annual Srishti Interim exhibition at Bangalore and also the Chennai Photo Biennale. ‘Portrait of Erosion’ is produced in collaboration with Jun and students of Srishti, curated by Shashank Satish, a practising artist and faculty member at Srishti, exploring the fabric of cities through the lenses of shared histories, architecture, and livelihoods of people across Bangalore and Chennai.
