CPB brings a series of Virtual Guided Tours in collaboration with Biennale f?r aktuelle Fotografie, starting this Thursday, 9 April 2020.
CPB recently had the opportunity to attend the Biennale f?r aktuelle Fotografie in Germany as part of the Goethe Institut South Asian Photography Visitors Program. Curated by David Campany ( @davidcampany ) this year's theme is 'The Lives and Loves of Images'. In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Biennale's shows were closed, but are now accessible online on www.biennalefotografie.de/en
The first tour will traverse through the show 'Between Art and Commerce' with Yasmin Meinicke (Biennale Managing Director - @die_biennale ), Kim Behm, (Curator, Port 25 - @galerie_kim_behm ) and Daniel Stier (exhibiting artist- @mrdanielstier ) Following which, we will have a Q&A session at the end.

Know more about the Panelists:
Born in Berlin, studied Art History and Philosophy at Freie University in Berlin, worked (among others) for the State Museums of Berlin, the Research Group ?Bildakt and Embodiment? and the Excellence Cluster ?Image Knowledge Gestaltung? at the Humboldt University and at the Heidelberger Kunstverein. She is the Managing director Biennale f?r aktuelle Fotografie since 2016; organizer of the rebranding from Fotofestival Mannheim-Ludwigshafen-Heidelberg to Biennale f?r aktuelle Fotografie in 2017; Initiator of the virtual tours for the Biennale 2020.
Curator at Port25 ? Raum f?r Gegenwartskunst. Studied art history, archaeology and literature in Marburg. Lecturer for art history and aesthetics at the ?Freie Kunstakademie Mannheim?, and owner of Galerie Kim Behm, a gallery for contemporary art.
Daniel Stier, exhibiting artist in the show 'Between Art and Commerce'. He lives in London as a freelance photographer. His direct, documentary style, has made him work for all the major international magazines over the years. His portraits of celebrities appear regularly in publications such as W Magazine, Dazed & Confused, The New York Times Magazine, Esquire, Vogue and others.
