Using the lens as a transformative instrument that allows for mimicry, identity make over, wish fulfillment and a subversive take on subjectivity, lens based work practices have created over the last two decades a different means of
representation. My talk will analyze a few examples to see how these engage the politics of gender and sexuality, class and issues of social justice.
