Photojournalism combines the creativity of photography with storytelling. This workshop will address the ways one can prepare a story through photographs from the artist’s point of view and the publisher’s perspective. After the basics have been addressed, there will be a short exercise where participants may try this subject with Shaju John’s expert feedback.


Bio: Shaju John is an accomplished and widely published photo-journalist in India. He toured nationally and internationally for visual documentation on various subjects especially health and environment. His works have been mainly for UNDP, UNICEF, World Bank, States and Central Government for their schemes for the public. In India he has predominantly published and affiliated with The Hindu.


*Prior experience or exposure to the basics of photography is preferred


*Equipment such as a cameras (DSLR, Digital camera or a decent mobile phone camera) is required.
