The workshop focuses on fashion photography and will cover framing, color, selection of final images and how to begin finding your own style. We will study film stills and various photographers’ work to better understand why and how framing, color and lighting are used to evoke mood.


Bio: Nayantara Parikh trained in film and specialised in cinematography at NYU's prestigious Tisch School of the Arts. She moved to still photography in 2015 and her work focuses on the female gaze and female identity. She has worked with Elle, Harpers Bazaar, Verve and Brides Today as well as Nicobar, Ritu Kumar, H&M, Dior, Gucci and Burberry.

*Prior experience or exposure to the basics of photography is preferred


*Equipment such as a cameras (DSLR, Digital camera or a decent cell phone camera) is required.
